Programming Approaches in Architecture, Urban Planning and Urban Engineering (D/PRAUG)

Launched in 2019, the D/PRAUG programme is a specialised post-master’s course in urban and architectural planning for ecological transition, run by ENSA Paris-La Villette, the École des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris and the École d’Urbanisme de Paris.
Objectives
– To train participants in the management and coordination of planning processes applied to different contexts and scales
– To provide specialised, interdisciplinary methodological training that integrates the political, strategic and technical aspects of planning
– To foster inter-professional collaboration between project owners and project managers, and between public and private operators, whilst involving civil society
Target audience
This qualification-leading course is eligible for funding through the Personal Training Account (CPF). The D-PRAUG post-master’s programme is listed in the Specific Register of Professional Certifications maintained by France Compétences. The course is open to candidates holding a minimum of a four-year degree and at least three years’ professional experience in the fields of architecture, urban planning or construction.
The roles held by these professionals are as follows :
– Project owners’ assistants (project sponsors)
– Project managers in public sector project management
– Project officers and department heads in local government
– Professionals in private sector project management (project sponsors) responsible for overseeing studies and projects
– Project management professionals (designers : architects and urban planners, landscape architects, structural engineers, utilities engineers, etc.)
– Other professionals in the field of planning and management of the built environment (quantity surveyors, site managers, etc.)
These professionals, who wish to develop a career in project planning, share the common objective of offering services in the field of construction and planning.
Course Structure
Face-to-face training, comprising lectures and practical exercises through workshops
Continuous individual assessment, group work in workshops
Successful completion of the assessment tests leads to the award of :
– a diploma specific to architecture schools for ENSA Paris-La Villette
– a five-year post-secondary university diploma from the University of Paris-Est Créteil
– an institution-specific diploma for EIVP
